Acton Swing Bridge is a 73m long × 8m high bow string truss, balanced swing bridge which carries the A49 over the River Weaver Naigation in Cheshire.

The design for the swing bridge was based on a 1893 design for Town Swing Bridge by J.A.Saner.

J.A.Saner's paper describes how he placed the empty shell of an old boiler under the centre of gravity of Town Bridge which enabled one man to turn the bridge by hand through 90° in 30 seconds.
